Ganim Campaign Releases Video 2006 Ned Lamont vs. 2018 Ned Lamont On Why Democratic Candidates Running In Primary Should Support Democratic Primary Winner

BRIDGEPORT --- The Ganim for Governor Campaign today released a video showing Ned Lamont in a debate with Joe Lieberman in 2006 talking about the need for Democrats to unify after the Democratic primary, and juxtaposed that with Lamont’s statement at Tuesday’s debate on WFSB-Channel 3 that he would “probably not” support Joe Ganim if Lamont were to lose the primary.

“The hypocrisy of Ned Lamont calling for party unity in 2006 versus his stating he would not support the winner of the Democratic gubernatorial primary in 2018 is obvious in this video. Ned Lamont’s decision not to support the winner of the gubernatorial primary is completely disrespectful to the Connecticut Democratic Party and an insult to hundreds of thousands of Democrats who will vote next Tuesday. If he loses, Ned Lamont would rather go back to his mansion with eight bathrooms in Greenwich and allow a Trump Republican to become governor than support a Democrat for governor. Democratic voters now know Ned Lamont supports just himself, not Democratic values or principles,” said Ganim.
