Ganim Applauds Channel WFSB And CT Realtors Postponement Of Debates Until Secretary Of The State Certifies Candidates For Primary Ballot

BRIDGEPORT ---- Bridgeport Mayor and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Joe Ganim today said television channel WFSB (Channel 3) and the Connecticut Association of Realtors should be applauded for postponing their gubernatorial debates until after the Secretary of the State’s office certifies all candidates, including those candidates petitioning to get on the August primary ballot.

"WFSB-TV and the Connecticut Association of Realtors did the right thing for Connecticut voters by postponing their gubernatorial candidate forums until the Secretary of the State finalizes who is on the August primary ballot.  I urge any other organization looking to schedule a candidate forum to do the same thing.  In these debates, I look forward to discussing how we can create good paying jobs, make our cities engines of economic growth, fix our state’s finances, and build a better Connecticut that works for everyone, not just a wealthy few," said Ganim.
