Joe supports criminal justice reform to end the targeting of communities of color. He supports the use of body cameras on police officers. He supports a comprehensive, smart approach to legalizing marijuana—ending the prosecution of people of color for possessing small amounts of marijuana. He strongly supports second chance programs to provide counseling, job training and jobs to those seeking to be productive members of society after incarceration. And he supports placing a greater emphasis on rehabilitation over incarceration.
