A Gov. Ganim would help Waterbury

At the Connecticut Democratic Party’s state convention in May, I was approached by Bridgeport Mayor Joseph P. Ganim about possibly changing my vote to him, so he could qualify for a gubernatorial primary. I asked him some questions about his plan and vision, especially for the big cities. His answers were well thought-out and made sense. I changed my vote that day and ever since, I have been happy I did.

I kept a dialogue with the mayor, and he expressed an interest in visiting Waterbury and spreading his message. He came to various events throughout the city. I walked with him at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel feast in July, and Mayor Ganim was well-received as he worked his way through the crowd.

I’m convinced Joe is the right man for the job and the best man for Waterbury. Lest we forget his primary opponent, Ned Lamont, once employed a campaign manager who said our great city is “where the forces of slime meet the forces of evil.” I think it’s time we put up better candidates than out-of-touch millionaires – how’s the one for president doing?

Mayor Ganim is our best bet to win the gubernatorial race and he’s the best man to help Waterbury.
